Try a hike with a difference at Kam Shan (or Monkey Mountain).
Kam Shan Country Park was one of Hong Kon'g first country parks and takes it's name from it's highest peak (Kam Shan). There are various hiking trails throughout the park with routes for any ability and spectacular views of it's four reservoirs and the surrounding landscape.
But the biggest draw of Kam Shan is the monkeys. The park is full of them! You'll find Rhesus and Long Tail Macaque monkeys, and they aren't shy so if you're not a fan of monkey's this might not be the hike for you.
Word of warning, keep your food well hidden, and don't feed the monkeys!
The closest MTR station is Sham Shui Po, from there you can take the number 81 bus and get off at Kowloon Reservoir.
